    Wrestling!

    hands down wrestling is the best sport anyone can try, it test your mental mind and your physical body. let alone teaches you self discipline and life values. ive been a wrestler since the age of 6 and growing up i can definitely point out the impacts wrestling has made in my life. i will always continue to support and give back to the wrestling community!

    Agreed. Wouldn't mind seeing BJJ added too.

    BJJ should be. Wrestling should be saved it has been in the olympics since 708 bc.

    The mental fortitude wrestling gave me allowed for a much more fruitful bodybuilding career

    There isn't much that can be done to save it. Most wrestling matches aren't especially great from a spectator's perspective. In fact, that's why pro-wrestling is fixed.

    But then you have to figure in the operating costs for the event and they're going to have a low turnout for ticket sales and it's not going to get TV coverage revenue since it's not spectator-friendly. They've found it just isn't financially worth keeping wrestling as an event.

    Olympic sports cater to their largest demographic, women. And women just don't care about amateur wrestling. If more men actually were interested in the Olympics, there might've been a chance that they'd have kept wrestling.

    They still have judo though.

    Wrestling is a great sport but BJJ adds the element of self defense. Best of both. Wrestler constantly come in to class and even though they are tough and have a great base, they fall into every submission. They really want to be on top but that doesn't help when the other guy submits you from his back.
