    Pre-Season Football Program and Diet

    Hey guys,

I play football and we starting our camp mid-august, starting out with testing (bench, 40yrd, t-test and all that) and then go on to 2 a days.

I'm looking for a program and diet to help me gain power and strength before camp. If anyone could help me out and throw in some ideas that would be great. I've been working out off and on lately as I work in a very remote area during the summer, but now we have a half decent gym, so please let me know guys!

    Thanks

    oh ya, STATS:

why did u wait so late to ask for help when summer is almost over? ur coaches must be really dumb to test u guys before camp and risk players getting hurt:

conditioning is number one right now:

mon: hill workout: shuffle/carioka/sprint/backpedal 30yds run up/walk down
    tue/fri: development work/agility circuits/2x8x100 gears
wed: agility ladder or slide board or lat shuffle bands
thur: interval sprint work something like 2x8x60yds with 20-30sec rest

since conditioning is number one i would only lift 3 days per week:

    mon:
    power clean
    clean pull
    bp
    lunges
1 leg rdl or 1 leg gm
    pullups

    wed:
    power snatch
    snatch pull
    incline
    stepups
    rev hypers
    lat pd front
    shoulder complex

    fri:
    hang clean
    bsq
    gh
    close grip bp
    1 arm rows
    curls
    tri ext

ur diet should be fairly clean high protein and low gly carbs. 6-8 meals a day and drink at least 1.5 gal of water. hope this help.
