Troy Smith
first off i'll say i'm a gator fan, i went to UF...BUT
just lately i actually watched the post game of the BCS title game, mainly because that night i was too busy partying to watch what happened after the game.
Troy smith at the press conference said some things and talked in such a way that i am now a troy smith fan.. for once a player who just lost the big game smiled and just said these things happened..he never made up reasons why they lost, he just plan and simple hey sometimes these things happen.. it was almost like he seemed to realize that football is a kids game, and getting to the championship game is just as great as winning it in a way.. no need to cry about one lose , be happy about the 12 strait wins..
I just think 30mins after losing a game like that, he showed enough class that i really hope he does well in the NFL, or in life.. we need more people like him in sports.Last edited by quarry206; 02-02-2007 at 07:57 PM.

i'm sure just getting to the title game wasn't "ok" with troy because of the competitor that he is, rest assured he wanted to win very badly and he was crushed after getting spanked by florida. he is definately a class act and myself along with alot of other folks wish him well at the next level because of his attitude and manner. i'm sure he will succeed in the nfl.

another Troy Smith fan... i love it. i live down on ohio state campus and i love every minute of it. i've grown up being a state fan. after that game campus was like a ghost town. nobody rly even went out and caused any trouble, no lighting of couches, trash cans, or not even any cars flipped over... well actually i guess there was 2 cars flipped over that i heard of. lol... either way... the buckeye fans are always behind there teams.... but we were all so dissapointed by that game. but yes... Troy Smith is deff a class act. he grew up with nothing in a going nowhere quick town here in ohio too and he has an extremely good head on his shoulders. i have alot of respect for him and i'm glad to hear that other people, even far away from buckeye country, there are ppl who have respect for him too. yeah, he deserved the heisman trophy for sure, because of his athletic ability, leadership, and his class. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

great college athelete but doesn't have what it takes to be a successful nfl qb. overestimated they say at 6' which is ridiculously short esp w/ the size of linemen these days and lacks downfield ability. even w/ a the weak qb class he'd be lucky to be within the top 5 for qb's entering the draft.

Hell, I am DIE HARD Michigan fan....and I still like Troy Smith, he is the truth. Gamble is a beast too...Pittman, hell I like the whole team (except for when they play UofM of course). Fortunately for Michigan and Unfortunately for them they'll lose alot of talent to the NFL draft. I hope Troy does big things in the NFL, but look for UofM and USC to be the two best teams at the end of the season next year.....

Absolutely wrong!!! Troy Smith can make all the passes and proved it at the Senior Bowl. His problem is his height. And because of this he didn't do that well in the senior bowl. He has one of the strongest arms in the NCAA, as a matter of fact, Mel Kiper says he has a stronger arm than Brady Quinn. Passing lanes have to be established in order for him to be effective. Either that or he has to be an out of the pocket type QB. Remember Drew Brees isn't very tall, Doug Flutie, Mike Vick is only 6'. Troy won't be a first day draft choice, but any team that gets him is getting a great QB, and worst case scenario is he'll be an Antwuan Randle El type.

Yeah he'll get a shot he will be a second day pick and hold a clipboard for a while, but he will get a shot. I take the opposite view on his post game comments i mean i dont want a guy killing himself after a loss but I think that is what makes some of the great players, great the truly hate losing and try to win at all costs.

You think that Troy Smith is fast just wait tilll you see Tebow in this upcoming year and Hope to see what there calling the next "Vince Young" Tebow's back up Cameren Newton. But when its said and done Troy Smith over all a great heisman pick and also a great college football qb.
