Anyone use niacin for vascularity or other reasons?
I've been hearing about it lately and want to know more from experienced bb's.
i did when i first started training but at this point i dont use it i dont see a need for it, the nician flush does nothing for me but make me itch and hot as hell
Well said Dr.Derek, all it'll make you is red as hell and hot.
I just bought a bottle of 500mg Niacin to give it a shot for my next pics. The bottle reads, "Protein, Fat, Carbohydrate Metabolizer". What exactly does Niacin do beside make you flushed and maybe a little mor vascular and HOT??
take asprin with it to help stop the redness and flushing.
niacin, is said to increase hgh, when you take it before workout's. Of course it isn't amazing amounts, but it does release some. I read it in some huge body building book.. can't remember the name.
JMO, but I take it, i think its benifical if u can handle the feeling of it (try it with asprin)
I have an allergy to aspirin. Is there anything else that may help?
Theres a no flush niacin made by twin labs. They have it at bodybuilding .com for like $10
The no-flush niacin is probably niacinamide
Straight niacin increases sensitivity to sunlight, and can be used, with caution, to speed up tanning. It seems to produce a quicker surface tan, which will not last as long as regular tanning.
Here's a link to a detailed paper on the subject - a search engine like Google will give you more.

I'm taking Niacin now as a way to improve my good cholesterol. After a cycle of 1-AD at pretty high doses, I got my blood checked and the doc freaked, said she'd never seen good chol that low. So I have been taking Niacin, fish oil, red yeast rice, garlic and upping the cardio. It's working and the cholesterol levels are looking good.
Hey Ginko,
Did Nician increase your vascularity?

If it has increased my vascularity, I haven't noticed.
