    16 weeks out

    Well i'm 16 weeks out now from my first ever competition. I figure im going to clean up my diet for the first 6 weeks and concentrate on working on the weakspots then seriously cut and introduce cardio for the last ten.

    Good luck with it, hope it goes well for you. Cant really offer much advice since i've never competed.

    yeah well neither have i i figured i may keep a log to keep me motivated. I dont know much about carbing up, tanning etc so im going to have to do alot of reading over the next few weeks.

    Ill post some recent pics in the next few weeks. Im 185 at the moment. Im planning on competing as a middleweight. Prob going to be on the light side @ about 170. I figure if i take it slowly (16 weeks) i should be able to minimise muscle loss. The first comp is on the 18th june and there is another one in mid september with a weight limit of 171 for that comp (middleweight) so if im not totally burned out i may cut further and do that too.

    down to 15 weeks now. Bodyweight is 188, diet need alot of work, i already want to give up and eat pizza and flapjacks.

    don't give up bro....in the end you will be proud of yourself for being able to be strict and once you get past a certain point it won't be that hard anymore. I've been going for almost 2 months without cheating for a modeling thing. At first it was very tough and by the time the weekend came around i wanted to cheat on my diet. But now since ive gone so far makes me want to cheat less and see how far i can make it. In the end it will all be worth it believe me.
