    any suggestions???

i am 16 wks out from my first show. i am 5' 10" and an even 200 lbs right now at 12% bf. i start my contest diet in 4wks (12wks out) and with the help of my nutritionist plan on losing about a .75-1% a week until i get to 2%. i am starting a cycle when i start my contest diet that i will run all of the way through my contest. my nutritionist said that i should lean out to 175-177 for the competition. my biggest fear is that i will look like a freakin stick, i am taller than most of the competitors i think so i need to come in thick. has anyone else ever been in this position or mindset, i know i'll be shredded but i want to be thick too.

hey man, I did my first show at 5'8" 154lbs...this may im competing at 168-174ish....it took me 1.5yrs to do it...just gotta give it time. if its your first show just focus on having fun and getting as lean as you possibly could.

thanks, i am expecting a rebound after the contest and then hope to compete in another comp about 12 wks after the first one. maybe i can get some extra mass out of that. at 154 and 5'8" we would look about the same right, can't you add about 10 lbs per inch or is it different when you are dieted down. out of curiosity, how did you place in your first show?

Let me give you some incentive. i'm only 1" shorter than you and my lightest i ever weighed in is at 172lbs, here is a picture of that show, only one minor detail I forget to mention, I carbed up like crazy after weigh-in probably was about 180 by the time I stepped on stage, weigh-in was the day before the show.

Well it was an all natural show, so the competition wasn't too fierce...I placed 4th out of 8 competitors in two classes and won overall best poser. It was an ANBC show, which is no longer around.
