    Worried About Weighing In

    I need help on dropping my water. The week of my show I will begin to carb load that WEd, and decrease my water intake. Here's the problem, the weigh in is Fri at 8:30pm and I have to fly for 2hrs to the contest. Should I use my dyazide on Thur? If I do how should I prepare for Sat?

    OK I ran into that same problem last year for the Jr. USA's. I was told flying holds water, which I really dont think its true, however here is what I did. I dropped water that thursday evening using dyazide. pissed all night woke up popped another tab got on the plane around noon pissed like crazy while flying (thats why i doubt that theory) got the South Carloina weighed in then had the whole night to carb up. I too was worried about making a weight class so I did not carb up on wednesday because I knew I had all night friday night to carb up, so once I made weight and ate my ass off, i popped one more tab before bed and I was good for saturday morning.. well bro I hope my experience helps.

    How much water should I drink on Friday? What time should I cut my water on Thursday?

    I usually cut my water around noon on friday....i may take in 25-30 ounces...thurs i go around half a gallon

    Doc, bro he's talking about flying to this show. and have to weigh-in friday night, you know they say flying holds water although i'm not sure i believe that.

    it all depends on if your trying to make a weight class and your cutting it close. I would cut water on thursday even around 6pm simply because you are flying and your body just might hold that water from flying, I would not have any water on friday but sips. if you get flat then you have friday night after your weighin to carb up like crazy, just do not drink any water, only if you need sips.
