    preparing for first show, need a question answered

    I'm 19, 5-9, 190, 15%bf, i'm just trying to get down to about 7 or 8% bf so that i can try to compete for the first time, i want to know if i'im doing too much cardio or the wrong kind. 4 or 5 times a week i'll hit the treadmill and do HIT. 2 min. walk and 1 min run at about 12degrees slope total of 40 min. or so. is this too much cardio? will it result in muslce loss? should i just walk instead?

    alot of the guys on the board will tell you to do low intensity cardio as it spares the consumption of muscle tissue.....I am currently also dieting and doing the treadmill first thing in the morning 6 days a week.....3 60 minute sessions and 3 50 minute sessions......i do it at 2.5 speed and 10% incline......i also take a fat burner and BCAA before i begin, immediately after i take one scoop of low carb whey and more BCAA until i shower and get my breakfast ready....Post your stats....like whats your diet like, how far out from the show are you, are you using any supplements.....

    No not "suck it".....

    STAIR STEPPER

    It has done wonders for me, it will also tighten up your back side a bit more than a tread mill. Im not exactly sure on what your goals are so I cant say how much cardio you should do, but the stair stepper is the shit!

    Bro your question is wide, you need to narrow it down a bit. like when is your show and whats your diet. no ruinning, running burns muscles. like Uconish said, 2.5 at 10 incline is exactly how I do it also, if I hit the treadmill before a show.

    stepper and treadmil both low intensity...i do 15 min trademill at 15 incline 2.5 speed. then jump on the stepper...just cause i get bored but im starting to think the steper is a lil better. i squize my but cheek every time I give a step helping me tightehn up the upper hams and glutes.
