Anyone ever take it (for whatever reason) and get that flushy (yes, that is a word) burning feeling in your eyes - which are so red it looks like they're bleeding?

Yes it sucks, that is exactly why I dont take it. May I suggest getting the time released niacin, it will not make you feel so hot, tingily and like your eyes are going to pop out of your head.
derek is right...the timed released is much better....i take 500mg of niaspan sa everyday.....
something that helps is to take an aspirin 1 hour before you take niacin and take the niacin 30 minutes after you eat your largest meal....
maybe i should rephrase my question and ask if anyone has ever taken time-released niacin and gotten that feeling...because i am taking it already
I still think your gonna get some of the same effects just not all at once. Take one dose time released and then the next time you take it take the pure crap and see if there is a difference, could just be the brand that you have is not released slow enough. I dont know
yes.....i got those feelings(plus some) with extended release niacin before i started using the asa(162mg) and taking after a meal plan....still bothers me a little but nowhere as bad as it was....
i took mine tonight at 7pm....didn't feel anything until i started this post....now my chest and shoulders are itching.....see what you did to me..LOL
psychosomatic......or im just crazy....betting on #2 is a safe bet.....
