im alittle confused about how these shows work. In the show i just did, the winner of each weight class, whether novice or open, got became qualified to compete at the junior nationals, however, when i looked at the lists on the sites, i did not see any shows that take place in my state, other than natual shows, why is that, if they are npc sanctioned events. Im trying to find a show within my metropolitian area that would take place in the begin of the fall season, but i cant find any on the lists. I think the lists that were given were for individuals who qualified for those shows, or can anyone compete?

    I don't understand your question.

In order to compete in a national level show you have to place 1st or 2nd place at a qualifying event. On the contest schedule the shows that are qualifying events are marked and the placing required to qualify is listed.

There aren't many national level shows in NYC so I would have to travel to compete in one. Is that what you mean?

now i understand.....the show i did was a qualifier for a national show, i think it was junior nationals.....but since i didnt place 1 or second, i am not qualified to do that show, so my next show would have to be another qualifier....Right?

When you become nationally qualified, you can compete in ANY national level NPC show not just Junior Nationals. If you did not place 1st or 2nd in open class then you are not qualified. Usually when you see the results posted they put an asterisk or mark the competitors who qualified.

Your next show does not have to be a qualifier. If you just want to get more experience dieting and preparing for a show you can do any NPC show. If you want to do another qualifier, then you can do that to. Qualifying shows are much harder than regular NPC shows.
