    Alcohol

How many of you incorporate wine into their contest prep? I have heard anything from a glass the night before to 4oz 45 minutes before stage time...

What a few of my buddies who compete have done is a half a glass of RED wine 30 mins before hitting the stage to bring out vascularity.

For whatever reason, red wine (probably the high sugar content) casue the viens to open up and has a 'warming effect" on body. For example when you get out of tanning bed, all your viens come to surface, same idea, warm the body temp and get the viens to come out. The salt helps with the pump.

How about going into a 100degree celsius sauna for 10mins? Should do wonders then.

sauna is good yes, some guys find they rebound and hold water after. But can be used to draw a bit of water out, key is as soon as you start to sweat, get out.

red wine is useful. i think hold back on going ballistic for pumping up, slow and steady yields better results. sergio over 'pumped' before hitting stage, then during judging the myth would shrink before the audience. sensible- chin ups, press ups, towel stretching, toning rope, isometric exercises and so on.

the sauna idea would be good. you could be fortunate to see some sports centers have good facilites. one dude i remember, had access to a hot shower, then proceeded to use the instant tan application. should the room you are using for oiling up, have this facility, try it. the downside would be if you had the permenant tan application. showering would ruin the efforts, but the instant tans you can now buy so readily from over the counter are good cheats.

ice-cream, sugared donuts, fat loading morning of the contest are other ideas i've seen bandied about AR? my two cents. RED.

The trick to hot stuff is to get someone to spray it in front of you and then walk through the mist. This stops it messing with your final tan. My only criticism with wine etc is that you have seriously water depleted, avoided alcohol for eons and are already semi-agigtated so the last thing I would want is to feel slightly sick and light headed (yeah I am a cheap drunk!)
    Thats just my opinion though...
