Cool Hold your condition for 24 hours??

My buddy has a bit of a problem. He's got a show coming up where the pre judging is friday night, and the "night show" is Saturday night. In other words, he needs to hold his condition for 23-24 hours. Obviously the friday night show is the more important, but I expect him to place in the top 2 so he needs to look pretty damn good for his posing routine Saturday night. I'm going to meet up with him in a couple hours and go over his pre comp routine, same one he used last year to win the middle weights. He'll be around 200lbs this go around. Looks like it'll be the top of the light heavies based on his progress these last couple of weeks.

So here's the question, who here has done something like this? Are there any of the top guys here willing to give us a couple of pointers? My last show had 9 hours in between the prejudging and the night show. I've never heard of anyone having to do something like this.

Welcome to the bigger national shows. There are a few out there Master nationals, team U both are over two days. Just to name a few. Your friend is in the same boat as everyone else in that show. He just has to stay dry and only sip 2 to 4 ozs with each meal like he does day of show. If he starts to spill a bit toss in a low dose of whatever he is drying out on. Just to try to safely keep pulling water. Not alot. Look closely at him every 8 hours or so. Stay tight on the diet. Don't go eat a big cheat meal at this point. He should just lay low stay calm and with a little luck stay dry.
I too will be in this same boat at Master Nationals.

    Best of luck to him.
