Competitions in NY in 2008?
Looking for any information for any bodybuilding Competitions in 2008 in NY or near.

when the date is announced, get the application, fill it out & pay your entry fee & you will also need to get your NPC card....which you can get the day of the comp--or prior to that online....but wait til the 1st of the year as it expires dec 31 no matter when you purchased it.

Are you competing at all?
Where do I go get this infomation, i went to a npc show last year, not to compete, but was pretty motivated by the scene.

yep....I'll be in the mix somewhere.probly the atlantic states..... not sure 100% yet... U can check bev francis' powerhouse gym website... she has most of the local NY shows listed when they are scheduled..

Im not to far from there.
Good to know there is someone in range also competing, at my gym, I highley doubt anyone there is competing.

Well Welter weight, Currently Im at 172.
My goal is 165 , then i will bulk.
I assume 150-159 class, what is that welter?
Age 24

24 years old
172 Goal 165
Im training for it and Its been in my mind since last year.
Im on a strict diet and def dedicated.
Im In whitestone, pm me if anything.
Im gonna try natty even though I know it not all natty, But i wanna get the most size natty before anything else.

you weigh 172 now & want to compete @ 165? so ....ur like 6% bodfat or less? cuz u can lose that 7lbs in a few days...

No, I want to get down to 165 before I even start bulking.
I started out at 225 like 2 years ago.
Right now im 172, I wanan get down to 165 before I hit 1 or 2 bulking phases.
Then drop down for a show if possible.
So Id assume 10-15 pounds water weight at 165
I've posted a few pics in other threads.

if you plan on competing in june or so.... u should be bulking like a mofo rite now dude... diet will start march 1st --thats not far off........ whats ur bodyfat? LBM? if you are going to compete at lets say 155..... u should be like 185 or so by now

So you think I should grab some creatine monohydrate + stack all I know to boost GH.
Thinking abuot trying some of the meth 1d stuff.
I wanna try and stay natty for now, but try some OTC crap and see what happens.
Let me know your thoughts as I really do wanna compete in 08

just briefly....lets say u are 175 in those pics..... you will have to compete around 150 or so to be ripped up...lift hard & heavy brother...EAT BIG...but clean..

@ 24 I wouldnt think you need to take much except the basics...unless you want to go to another level all together..but thats up 2 u. 6-8 reps will yield some good strength & size... google "hypertrophy" training...u probably want to do that most of the time, but switch up your routines every 8 weeks or so to keep it fresh.....u need to work out a good bulking plan.......then a good cutting plan.

Yeh 6-8 = hypertrophy. along with size comes strength.
4-6 power
8-12 endurance
Changing up every 4 weeks to give the muscles shock and not to adapt.
Any ideas on what to take, I know what were talking about but not ready to hit there yet.

thats up to you....
hypertrophy is 8-12
power is 3-6
endurance is 12-18
max strength is 1-2
