Cut Salt and use Diuretic??

Ive been trying to time my salt cutting in addition to using a diurectic during my last stages of contest prep. My last contest I missed and ruined my drying out process. The contest before that, I nailed the timing and looked fantastic.

How many that use diuretics skip the salt loading/depleting?

Would I be better off to leave my salt where it is and just depend on the diuretics to do the job?

I have gone both routes and actually had better results with just sodium manipulation as opposed to a diuretic.

i never had to worry about sodium/potassium depleting or loading. i used potassium the day of my comp to prevent stage cramp but all i used was a good diuretic and didnt have to worry about sodium, just make sure you have your diet in check and dont go too crazy on your carb load
