    To cut or bulk?

    I did the Bod pod today. The results show I'm 243 lbs at 12 % body fat. I understand this is a little high. I dont plan on competing soon or maybe even ever. The question is at the Bf level should I be trying to get leaner or is it fine to try and get bigger. I am always on a diet it seems. I used to be a super fatty

    oh and 23 yo and 73 inch tall. Cycled before and do not feel like listing.

    It really depends on what you want to look like. Why is it one or the other? Why not just continue to add quality muscle while keeping your bodyfat at a reasonable level like it is now?

    Thats my plan the bod pod said my TEE was 3254 at sedentary levels so I figure if I stay there and slowy add on I wouldnt get fat. I'm afraid to jump to that amount because I was only taking in 2200 cals a day and doing cardio. Im afraid jumping to 3254 will kind of shock my body and cause fat storage. What do you think Fireguy? Hope this is the correct thread.

    Go off of what's working in the real world for you. If you want to increase calories I wouldnt add more than 200 per day, run it for a couple weeks and then add 200 more per dayt if you are staying lean. Or...keep them at 2200 and every 3rd or 4th day bump them up to 2700-2800 then back down to 2200 again. Take advantage of the fact you are lean now and experiment a bit, see what your body responds to.

    Thanks Fireguy sound advice and what I was thinking kind of along the lines of.
