    Diet approach

I plan to compete in a bodybuilding competition mid march and can't decide how to plan my diet approach. Should i start my diet as a bulk, cut, lean bulk??? I've been dieting for 4wks. Lost over 10lbs and less then 2%bf but I was holding a TON of water.
Current stats 6'2 255lbs under 12% bf "will post pics tonight"

My first show I bulked for 16 months. Then cut for 15 weeks.
Went from 205 lbs to walking on stage 165 ish. Probably 7 % bf

Time is against you this close. I would maintain try to build a little more muscle then start your. It
What weight class are you aiming for? NPC?

I'm not sure what weight class to shoot for. I currently vary between 250-260 and I'm around 12%. "Don't know exactly but the highest I ever really get is rarely over 12.5. In my Avi I was under 215lbs. Not exactly the best pic to judge bf but what weight class would you think I would fall in?

I think you could do good in both heavy and superheavy. I've seen some super heavy dudes that are big but not cut and take the overall. I would probably go heavy and see what happens..I think you could bring a pretty solid package to that class with what your stats are now.

Thanks bro.... Going through your pics you look great also. Any pointers for how hard you got at your first show. Your density looks amazing. Every year I plan for a show but never get my bf low enough. The year before last I came in around 6.2%bf and this past I almost broke 5% but I can't seem to take that last couple %'s. I can get to 7-8% without even really dieting but from 7% to 5% I loose 15-20lbs and I can't understand why.

There are some in my profile but there much larger now. Ill post some tomorrow after cardio "again wish I could pull some of this water bc I usually can see veins in my thighs at the bf % I'm at. I seem so fat right now but I'm under 10%. Anyone have any ideas? This is why I wanted to do the bulk competition so bad. As soon as I get my water and estrogen under control ill look completely different without much change in weight. I can carb load and gain 15lbs lol

Anyone have any thoughts on the weird bf and weight change over the past 7wks. How did I loose weight but gain bf then loose bf and gain weight? I have been having issues with my estrogen and I am just starting to get these in check. Could my drop in bf and gain in lbm be caused by a more favorable testosterone to estrogen ratio? Just some thoughts

Honestly man I'm still trying to figure it all out. That was my first show and I did all my prep according to various online articles and videos..I didn't think I new what I was doing. I think the density comes from years of training..I stressed about my diet and cardio throughout the whole prep and pushed myself pretty hard. I think that helped me stay hard.

I've have similar macros planned out starting here soon..As long as stick with it, I see results pretty quick. I think you should too. What are you doing right now to help control your H2O and estro?

Arimidex and nolvadex . I'd rather have aromisan but someone gave me a bottle and I figured why not switch it up. I might get Letro next time but still haven't decided for sure. Man that stuff makes me dry but it really kills my sex drive.

I only measure the rice uncooked. Except for the three eggs I cook in my beef and potatoes in the morning the rest I just mix raw with a cup of milk and a shot of expresso.

Thanks bro.. That's good to hear bc I feel full of water. I don't understand why my water fluctuates so much. I can vary 15 lbs week to week and 10lbs from morning to nigh. Does anyone have similar problems or any solutions??

As far as your diet goes, do you generally eat the same foods or mix it up? I know if I switch up carb sources I notice the difference in water retention.

I eat about all my meals exactly the same every day mon-fri. I don't really diet on the weekend and I still have 1-2 cheat meals per week. Usually after my leg days

Thanks man... I want 275 pretty bad but ill probably have to start cutting as soon as I break 270. I have a feeling my bf is gonna go a little higher then ever with the holidays this year. Plus this baby coming is putting more weight on me then my gal.... Better then any cycle or stack before. Just to think last year my heaviest ever recorded weight at this time was under 250 by the end of November I was ecstatic bc I was at 254..... Good year of growth id say
