Blast and cruise vs conventional cycling

Previously, I would jump over the blast and cruise forum subjects until the light bulb came on. Now I am scurrying trying to find more info. I have a year and have laid out my proposed cycle, but a comment was made on the blast and cruise. Since I am self imposed TRT (169 total test and doc says TRT too risky), any cycle I do will be blast and cruise to an exrent. I have a competition in about a year so I want to take advantage of the time with being as safe as possible. I read Marcus sticky on short cycling which I will refer to as blast and cruise. Obviously, I will not be able to take my favorite long esther (deca ) if I do short cycle. I am 50 and do not have issues with being sterile. I am looking for opinions of short cycling ( 8 weeks max) vs tthe conventional long bulk cycles. I would also appreciate it if you would explain the reasoning. With this new view on blast and cruise, I think that I am on to something. I am looking for something to get a leg up on the young guys. I have been competing for 4 years now. I was dircted down this path and it looks like a great deal of potential that fits my situation.

Simply what fits your time frame better. Short or long esters. Prop and NPP for a shorter cycle or cyp/enth and deca for a longer one. Just depends whether you mind all the pinning or not. Short esters work quickly as opposed to long esters therefore there's no need to run them as long. The benefits are more immediate.

Remember though, AAS is great but it mostly boils down to nutrition and training discipline. I know guys who run twice (or more) than what I do, are probably half my age and look like crap imho due to poor nutrition and lackluster training. Plus when they're not on cycle they are barely motivated.

Thank you. I understand that the blast and cruise is a higher dosage also.
What I gathered is that you believe there really is no difference. It all depends on the time frame that you have. If I understood correctly, then I would probably do a hybrid and get in my long deca cycle first.
    I have a year.

I understand the significance of diet. I like to call it a lifestyle better than a diet. I'm presently +300 calories from TDEE. 46/43/11 (p/c/f). Presently recouping from competition cycling.
