    No Burn drive, wtff?

    My laptop keeps coming up with the message no burn drive? it does this when i try to burn video or image files, i can still watch films etc when i insert discs into the drive, any suggestions?

    You could try uninstalling and re-installing the drive.

    What program are you using ? Some programs need to create a virtual drive to burn ISO's etc.

    tried power iso, itunes, convertxtodvd

    it says no drive, but it will let me play media from the drive

    yeah used it before, just stopped working

    2 different lenses

    one used to burn and one used to read

    Try uninstalling all of your burning software

    and just try installing / using one

    disconnect drive and reconnect

    go to bestbuy and buy a usb cd rom drive or another internal drive and install/ test to verify the original is bad (30 day return policy)
