Are you talking about contest prep or a CKD type diet?
For contest prep.
One usually does not workout strenuous enough that last day or 2 when carbs are little to non-existent. Doing so much work that would require glycogen replinishment so close to a show isn't good anyhow in coming in full, hard, recovered, repaired, etc.
