if i do cardio in the a.m. on an empty stomach for 30 minutes, is it ok to drink some dextrose for my carbs, or even take in carbs at all right after my cardio, or will this just make my body stop burning fat and start burning the new carbs instead?

coooooooooooooooooooooooool
Dextrose is never used post-cardio, only post-weight training in proper amounts w/whey protein.
As for carbs post-cardio, that's an individual thing.

thanks for the reply, but will your body necessarily burn less fat if you take in carbs directly after your morning cardio??
There is a very good chance your body will burn less fat if you intake carbs immediately after morning cardio. This is because after your through with your cardio, your body is still in lipolysis for a short period. I personally would want to ride out the little bit of lipolysis I can post cardio before eating my first meal.Originally Posted by spound

Many do that as to conserve lean body mass, but again it is a personal preference. Me personally, I like to keep burning fat all day so I eat pro/fat meals until PWO after I do cardio.
