Height/weight/bf%age/and a breakdown of your on/off day dietary approaches would be key. You should also mention how long you have been consistent w/the approaches once they are listed. Honest answers get better advice.

swole is the master on this, listen to him. but to put in my moneys worth, you have to eat at least 6 meals a day. and there are many things to tweak a diet. post your diet and we can help you a lot better, include suppliments and vitamins/minerals.

6 eggs in the morning with cheese and a glass of milk
Roast beef sandwich at 11
At One i usually eat a big meal then i eat before i workout which is like a turkey sandwich. After workout i eat a can of tuna and a protein shake. Then about 8 i eat cottage cheese and 2 large chicken breast. I have about 12%body fat.

If in fact you are a "hard gainer" eat six meals and try to include complex carbs in all of them at small dosage.. but if your doing that try to keep your fat low..

dude let me tell you.... i just took a look at that lean mass diet and if you think thats a lot of food... oh my god.
i eat way more than that and im only 175lbs at the moment
you need to realise that you have to EAT EAT EAT. i used to be in your poistion looking at some of the diets here and was like "OMFG!!!"
but its gets easier. now i find if i havent eaten in about 1hr 30min then my gut is grumbling. just eat a meal every 2 hours. it gets easier. you have to eat at least 6. i usualy have about 8 a day. with more food than in that diet in each. its mind over matter. the first couple of weeks is hard then its routine
