What do u want to do cut or bulk? im assuming u want to cut but could be wrong here is a link to the Harris-Bendict Formula one of our diet bros put it in an excel document so its simple to calculate what your mateinance number of kcals are http://www.geocities.com/arelliotness/harris-elliot.xls u have to create a calorie defecit from 300-500 kcals a day. Your going to have to eat clean so i would advise checking out the cutting sticky on top of the page and build a diet from that format, because if u eat sh*t food even if its within your kcal limit u still wont be doing jack to lose actual fat you will lose lean muscle mass.

2300K cals while cutting.
I gradually (and I mean gradually) adjust my cals as my weight drops and re-arrange my macros depending on progress and time frame.
i always try to go 500 cals less than my maintenance. i find if i try to do more i end up burning muscle as well
6' 200lbs just checked in at 5.75% and I still consume about 3800 cals a day but I also workout on a 6 day split with 2 days @400 and 2 days @ 300 cals cardio.

while calorie consumption and expenditure are essential in dieting, nutrient timing and eating in a timely, organized manner are JUST as important....
only a lucky few can get away with eating their 2500 calories scattered throughout the day...the rest of us have to do it in 6-8 reasonable portions
