dextrose has a high GI and is the fastest acting sugar that will elevate your blood sugar level. Also dextrose and maltodextrin help with shuttling nutrients and replinish muscle glycogen stores, were sugars like fuctose those found in fruit are slower acting and will only replinish liver glycogen.
