Absorbing Protein
Is it true that your body can only take in (properly use) a certain amount of protein. For example, If I have 50g pro after workout, then plan on a 50g in my post workkout meal, how long should I wait to consume the next pro meal?

So you mean, your body can only intake X amount of protien every 2 to 3 hrs.
Then that means after a PWO shake, I should wait 2-3 hrs till I have my PWO meal ??

No, pwo is a state of increased nutrient uptake and is the exception.

Thanks , In the diet sticky's it hard to gauge the time frames. Excluding PWO nutrition it will be safe to say that I should wait 2 to 3 hrs when consuming large amounts of protein. 50 g is the max that should be consumed at one sitting...?

50g max per 2-3 hours is a good rule of thumb, but by no means is it set in stone. There's a multitude of factors that come in to play, but one of the easiest ways to tell you are taking in too much protein per meal is gas. If you are blowing ass alot that means you have a good deal of protein not being absorbed.

can the bodys ability to absorb protein increase? I tried eating 400g/day when bulking and at first I had horrible gas but after a while the gas stopped and I grew like a weed

Interesting point, I am often not able to wait 2-3 hrs between large meals
I am 195 right now and I eat like a hoarse.
A times I feel I might even eat more than 50g at one sitting.

i usualy eat more then 50g in every sitting. Often around 70grams. When bulking i easily consume 80g protein in some meals

everyone is diff, some can only take in 40 grams or so, while others can take in 60 or 70. it also differs if you are on gear

Ahh, exactly the ? lingering in my mind. When one is on gear, I am sure the need and abilities for protein increase, especially whilst bulking.
