I've been packing 4 or 5 sandwiches for lunch. Peanut butter and tuna fish sandwiches. Question is....how bad is the white bread?

If by bad you mean, rapid increase in blood sugars, corresponding insulin spike bad...then yea, it's bad. White bread is very processed...makes it very quickly digested, etc.
Better to use slow-burning, low GI carbs like oatmeal, brown rice, sweet potatoes, etc...
Real whole wheat bread would be better than white...but still not idea.
If you are eating 4-5 sandwiches for lunch, then the type of bread you are using is probably the least of the concerns.

well when I say for lunch, I eat one every 2 or so hours during the whole period of me being at work...but I think I'm just going to start getting some turkey and etc. to through in there and cut back on the sandwiches. Thanks for the help.
Cutting back on them isn't going to cut it, bro...You need to replace them with something else.
What are your goals, gain or cut?
replace the white with whole grain atleast
O and add the reduced sateity factor inherent of over-processingOriginally Posted by cb25
Reduced vitamin content
Reduced fibre content
ETC.
Not an ideal carb choice
I'm all gain....Not concern about cutting. I'm looking for mass. I guess I switch up to whole grain and then throw in some chicken or turkey to eat as well.
Thanks for the help.
Even if you are bulking you want to consume good foods, i would at the very least go to the store and pick out a loaf of bread that looks like tree bark. (can't remember the name).
