White rice or pasta better for PPWO carbs?

What's better to have with my chicken breast for ppwo carbs: 1/2 cup of white rice or say a small serving of chef boyardee raviolis or spaghetti o's?

Which ones better for cutting? Which ones better for bulking?

i would take the white rice either way. that other crap is so processed and has added things you dont need/want, like sugars and such

Yes, I agree white rice is the better choice above the pasta/ravioli.

For the record, I totally dislike brown rice.

Rice should be white, f*ck brown.

I like brown rice... I like the texture more... Don't eat chef boyardee b/c that junk is high in fat. You want PWO meals to be low fat.

brown rice is more glycemic than white rice, thats why it sticks together better.

I would think that brown is better only because it's not refined. White rice is.

I'm the opposite, I love brown rice and can't stand white rice lol

People look at this the WRONG way. They are BOTH beneficial, they just have their times where they are BEST utilized. For the second pwo meal w/slin already elevated, it doesn't make much difference to ingest a low or high gi carb meal, as we want to take advantage of that increased uptake window anyhow. (For hours after a w.o.) So, I opt for white rice, as any further spike is just fine w/me, as my muscles are in need of the nutrients I am ingesting (in proper form) and the delivery via slin has full clearance.

Have your amounts correct for your eating plan and goals, and you are set.

I think you guys are looking into it WAY too deep. Utilise white rice PPWO for 2 months then switch to brown rice for 2 months. If you see a difference I will be very surprised. At the end of the day as long as you are getting in the healthy, complex carbs you are on the right track. An extra 2-3g of fiber will not make any significant difference.
