I eat before and after my workouts, yes, many meals before and many after.
I can't eat on my bicycle though.

,you should have your own food on hand and not let you eating schedule be dicated by the times the cafeteria is open. you should be eating every 2-3 hours, not just 2-3 times day. so, you should be eating before and after.
now, if your asking about immediately, you should have some sort of small protein meal before working out, simply b/c you should be eating every 2-3 hours. then, after working out, you need your post-work out shake with your dextrose. follow that up with your protein/carb meal an hour or so later.
