Ok, I just got my daily diet sorted out to fit with my early morning training, and now I have to train in the afternoons, at about 5pm. My question is, what should I be eating pre-training to ensure I am good to go in the gym? I was thinking that some Whey is in order, but should I add some dextrose or maltodextrin to a shake? I am at a loss. When I trained in the morning I ate oatmeal and a whey protein shake prior to training. This is still my breakfast everyday, but I am unsure about a new pre-training snack. Also, how much time before training should I eat?
