    Grinding My Carbs!!!!!!

i've been grinding my carbs in a coffee grinder and mixing them in protein shakes.(rolled oats, steel cut oats, brown rice, and dry pasta)
is there any reason why i should not do this??
the reason i ask is because this is so easy to prepare and consume yet i have not read any other post about others doing it.

Interesting concept.. I don't think there should be any reason NOT to do this, however I have never done it before.

    oatmeal for instance

i just take my desired measurement of oatmeal
put it in a coffee grinder set the grinder on the finest setting and grind
then i put the oatmeal powder in a blender with my desired measurement of protein powder and blend. WA LA

    like what?
when i grind it its becomes pasta powder
then i chug it down with protein and water
as far as flavor i only have to deal with it for like 5 seconds

any way thanks for all the replies i guess i'll keep ingesting my carbs in this fashion until i have a reason not to

    I do it with Oats

I find Oats to be terrible wet, but as a dry powder I can handle them ok.

I have never ground up my brown rice though. When you grind rice, do you just use 1/2 cup dry?

Grits could be done this way too I assume but I dont mind the taste of grits wet.

I do almost the same thing for breakfast. The oats get cut down pretty small in the blender. Not too bad a consistancy and tastes great...to me

The only concern that I might have with this is during a cutting diet. I would think that the regular oatmeal would be more benifical as well as giving you some fiber. But, for a bulker when you are trying to get as many cals/carbs as possible, yeah.
