Ham is a complete protein and it's totally fine to use.
I eat that all the time.
Don't worry about sodium unless you are prepping for pics or a contest and it's your final week. Sodium is key to muscle building.

As long as you down plenty of fresh water daily, you'll excrete the excess sodium and avoid any unusual water retention.
If you don't drink enough H20, you'll bloat from pretty much anything you eat.

I am thinking about taking some ham slices to work with me for a mid day meal. I was taking chicken breast, but that is getting old. There is alot of protein in ham and it would be convinient. I drink about 1.5 to 2 gallons of water a day, so I should be good. I was gonna take a can of tuna but the smell would be too bad for the work area.
