    Lightbulb ~!~DieT CoLa~!~

The majority of things that i have heard about diet cola seems to fall into the "it will kill you" catagory by causing fermaldihyde(i kant spel gyt yewsd tew it) on da brain.. but anyways.. my concern is its affects on ones blood sugar, i know that its got caffiene which is nice, 0 calories, and aspartame(eventhough tomatoes have way more) which is a pimp amino used as a precursor for L-Tyrosine which is essential for muscle growth so thats like 3 homeruns right there, but i have read little on its actual effects on Blood Sugar or insulin levels.. if anyone has any knowledge on this matter i sure would like to hear it... TY

Having some diet soda in human quantities won't hurt you, but what your body really needs and prefers is water. As far as blood sugar, there are mixed reports on what caffeine does in that regard. There have been published reports of caffeine negatively impacting insulin sensitivity, others that say it has no effect.

    I drink water/crystal light/coffee/diet soda/and I have no issues gettin' ripped up.

If your diet/exercise is on point, it's a non issue look-wise.

For me anyhow, experiment and see what happens.

Diet Rite makes some really good splenda drinks. I'm addicted to the cola flavor.

please correct me if I am very wrong here but I remember reading somewhere ( I have to find the link/study) that carbonation in soft drinks interferes with protein absorbtion.

Is this true? I can't seem to find a clear answer.

    Thanks much!

Don't drink it during your meals or around a shake consumption.
