For me it can take about a week to get back if inimadvertently go off for 1 day. In low carb dieting, as much as 10lbs can come back pretty quickly, because when you go off, your body starts to retain more water again. Tkes 3 days to go back to ketosis and addtional time to lose whatever fat was gained.

    Not sure with traditional diets.

I dont think you put on fat but if you gained weight its water, i am doing body opus, this friday i weighted 200 pounds in the morning and today monday i weight 206 pounds, thats 6 pounds after weekend carb up, but i still feel really loose in my jeans so its water.

If you havent cheated for 3 months it would take your body some time to react to the extra calories, i would say 2 weeks of cheating and you would put on some fat.

This is what happens when i bulk up for too long, first 2 weeks seem fine i put on weight but not much fat then after that watch out gut and buy some new pants.

If you incorporate an extra cheat meal it is OK.
Say your cheat day is saturday, if you have a cheat meal on wedsday everything will be fine. but try to do it as a cheat meal and not a whole day. and do some cardio a couple hours after.
it will keep you sane and it won't hurt your diet too bad.

If I didn't eat pre-workout carbs i'd have a really bad fucking workout .. Some people can do it though. JMO
