    Cutting diet pwo meals

Just curious what you guys thought. I have a theory about cutting and thats to keep blood sugar as low as possible to keep burning fat. So for pwo I was thinking a large apple and 2 rice cakes 50 gm protien shake.

Just keep it simple bro, 2:1 pro/dex

The whole purpose is to spike your insulin level and shuttle the protein into the muscles to aid in recovery. An apple and a few rice cakes is a terrible choice IMO but to each his own.

I think PWO should always be 2:1 dex/whey. The intent is to spike blood sugar levels to replace muscle glycogen, shuttle protein and other nutrients into the muscles, and combat cortisol. I think PWO should always be the same whether bulking or cutting.

Blood sugar low during periods of lipolysis, yes.

Not when you wish to have a state of anabolism/repair/muscular recovery.

You won't "keep burning fat" if your blood sugar is low unless you are in KETOSIS, in which you'd have to eat 3/4 of your diet from fat. So not only would an apple and rice cakes never let you enter such a state, you are only serving to further damage results by not providing your system w/the proper materials to recover from a weight training workout.
