I was always scared to start going all out cutting because I never wanted to loose my muscle mass. In the future when I cut, whats the key to retaining your muscle while loosing your fat? Please no responses with just...."diet" lol.

Not quite sure what you've been told, but "diet" is the key to retaining your muscle...
About 1.5g/lb of bodyweight is preferable, for most avg. sized males....
Also, the use of steroids will help you.... not saying it's the answer for you though.... but they are commonly used for this reason...
Never do too much too fast (calorie restriction/cardio/etc) and take your time in cutting, that is the best advice.

thanks for the advice swole. i've heard of so many guys going too crazy with cardio & cutting calories and having their muscles atrophy, just didnt want it to happen to me.
2-3 lbs. a week of weight loss (fat) is a good rule of thumb.
Watch your strength in the gym too, use that as a guide.
