it is healthy, if in oil use olive oil, if seasonings make sure they are low in sodium
Marinades keep me from going insane with all of the chicken I consume. Just stay away from any store-bought ones with a high sugar content.
I have about 10 different ones I use, but the most common is just soy sauce, garlic powder, and a few drops of lemon juice. Yum yum.
How about like the lemon pepper chicken you would buy from wal-mart thats ready to cook. I can't remember the label, but it wasn't bad at all. If no-one knows what I'm talking about, I'll post the label up. i THINK the label has like 36g of protein, 2.5g of fat, and 0 carbs.....I'll have to check again. My memory is poor. This doesn't seem too bad though...
Most marinades consist of sugar and sodium. Its not great, but I suppose there are worse things. Some of the sugar burns off when you cook the chicken.Originally Posted by El Jugo Buen0
i don't get the question exactly.
is it 'healthy'?
explain.
Do you mean... "is it counterporductive to my goals?"
If so..that depends on the marinade itself.
Generally if you make it yourself...and keep it simple..it can fit in any diet.
Mojo marinade...like 5 cals...tastes SOOO good
