crsytal light in water? getting sick of regular water

I always drink lots of water but im starting my cycle soon and im trying to get my water intake to about 1.5-2 gallons of water a day but I am getting sick of regular... Do you think putting crystal light in my water to give it some flavor will defeat the purpose of drinking regular water? thank crystal light is like a 5 calorie sugar free drink mix

Nah, it's fine bro. Lots of people drink CL....

I used to drink it alot, but I now favour green tea, with a bit of lemon and splenda.

Now, I'm not promoting a keto diet, but I've read in Keto studies before that said they weren't sure as to how aspartame affected insulin response, and that they wouldn't recommend using it. And I noticed when on a keto diet once that I was doing everything right except drinking tons of crystal light, and wavering in and out of mild ketosis. Crystal Light has tons of aspartame.

Again, I'm not promoting keto, just using it to reference that aspartame could give an insulin spike. I'm interested what somebody with more knowledge about the relationship of aspartame to insulin would say.

I've heard that too, and I believe it's dependent upon one's slin sensitivity.

I can drink CL all day (and do, ) and I'm fine. I've tested w/strips to see, and sure enough I'm fine (I don't do keto either however), but I know it doesn't affect me in any negative manner. I think it'd be best to test oneself to see how the affects are, just to be super safe. However, for most it won't be an issue.

I must be super slin sensitive. Makes sense considering how much my waistline has grown on my "combination of carbs and fats diet" over the past year and a half!

Goto a drugstore and get "keto" strips. Its almost like a pregnancy test in that you basically piss on the strip and depending on how purple it turns you know if your in a mild/heavy state of ketosis.

To test yourself, you would have to put yourself into ketosis(the strip will turn purple if your in ketosis). Then once yoour in ketosis, drink crystal light, and don't ingest any other carbs. Test yourself periodically over the day, if at any time the strip doesn't turn purple, the crystal light probably gives you an insulin spike.

    Crystal

I can't drink diet soda or crystal light. I've been on the ketosis diet, now my third week. I can get into the 40-80% ketosis but not the highest level. That would be the darkest shade of purple. I don't know why since i am very very careful with my diet and never cheating. Does it matter what level purple you are in? Does darker mean your burning more calories?

yes, it means larger ketone bodies are present in your urine.
