the main difference between those two would probably be how your body reacts. some people get intense headaches from all the sugar that is dextrose. malto may be a little easier on you in those situations. but if the sugar highs dont bother you...keep it simple, just use dex.

For example, maltodextrin is a moderately sweet polysaccharide used as a food additive, unrelated to barley malt. It is produced from corn starch and is usually found as a creamy white hygroscopic powder. Maltodextrin is easily digestible, being absorbed as rapidly as glucose. The CAS number of maltodextrin is 9050-36-6.
So tell me...glucose is complex?? didnt know that....My bad...

LMFAO @ you!!
Where does it say it's simple? It's a complex carb... just because it is easily absorbed, does not make it a simple sugar (like Dextrose)... and that is common knowledge. There is nothing to debate here.
But thanks for coming out, smartass.

He's right. It's technically a complex carb. However it certainly doesn't act as one seeing as it rates 105 on the GI index.
polysaccharide Would mean that it is complex.

I Still Did Not Get A Precise Answer To The Main Question..we All Know That Dextro(simple)is Quikly Absorbed , While Malto(complex) Takes Longer To Do So..what Worked Better For You? Again , Dextro By Itself Ou With Malto (50/50) Along With Whey?

If im not mistaken what makes it a complex carb is its chain legnth, but the glycemic load it carries makes it similar to a medium to simple carb, and it's glycemic index makes it readily absorbed.
