Reading Carbs on a label
Say a label reads:
Total Carbs 13g
Dietary Fiber 1g
Sugar 6g
Does this mean other than the 6g of sugar, the products will be ok to consume in a pro/carb meal?
So a label reads:
Total Carbs 13g
Dietary Fiber 1g
Sugar 0g
Is this the right idea?

I guess what I'm trying to ask is.......If it says:
Total Carbs 13g
Dietary Fiber 1g
Sugar 0g
Does that mean its 13g of complex carbs only?

I think your right, 13g of carbs per serving, and since there is no sugar it must be all complex carbs.

1grams is fiber, 12 complex. Although nutrition labels can be deceiving. Know the food you eat, not what you read on the label IMO.

IBd do they realy include the fiber ammount in the total carb count? Im pretty sure they dont do it over here in europe. I se no reason to since fiber dont have any kcal(atleast not any that humans can take advantage of).

I was told they do, I may be totally off. SC or giantz may be able to answer that question, they know much more than myself when it comes to nutrition. Although the FDA does not list all sugars if they are no natural from what I understand. Diet coke for example, 0calories? This is not possible.

Yes, they include FIber in total carb count. Makes it confusing I suppose considering it has no caloric value and you should always subtract it from the total carbs.
