    Fruit in the AM

I heard today on another forum that taking in a fruit after am cardio (like banana on cereal) will go straight to fat

    True or False?

Fructose is metabolized in the liver. It will prefentially refill liver glycogen first, however in the AM after cardio when all glycogen stores are very low I do not see fat gain being a strong possibility unless one eats about 25 banana's for breakfast.

Please guys, don't put words in my mouth.

I've said before that once the liver is FULL, excess is stored as fat yes.

Like Giantz said, unless you eat a stupid amount of fruit, it's not an issue.

I never said it refuels the liver and then turns to fat. That's not a process that is possible (fueling the liver then it turning into fat after)

Swole, you just pass on fruit, in general, don't you?

Optimal time is when you wake up......cardio or non.....liver gly. is low.

fruits after am cardio would probably be the best time of the day to consume fruits except pre and post workout when cutting.
