I had read that heat will kill EFA's. Does this mean I shouldn't cook egg whites in olive oil for a pro/fat meal or is olive oil an exception? I was trying to get some EFA's from other sources than flax. Any help would be appreciated.

i heard it does but im not totally sure.
The EFA's aren't technically alive so I don't think they will die, but I am sure it would degrade them overtime.
olive oil has close to no EFA's to begin with(if you dont count omega 9 but Im not sure its a EFA).
With that said, what makes oliv oil the best cooking oil is because it doesnt get destroyed easily in heat. But if you want the full benifits of olive oil drink it.
If you want EFA's go with flax, fish or hemp oil.
ohh yeah btw dont confuse EFA's with generaly healthy fats. EFA's are the fats that are essential and you realy dont need much of them.
There are LOTS of healthy fats that aint essential. Olive oil is a very healthy source of fat despite its lack of EFA's.
