Pre-workout meal/snack
Just curious, in your experience, what is the optimum pre-workout meal/snack to have? To give yourself enough calories/energy and your muscles enough nutrients to enhance growth and have a solid lifting session of course ...
I'm looking for it to be relatively easy to prepare if possible - should this be had approx 30-45 mins before working out? Or the time isn't a major issue ....
Thanks in advance--

I just eat a couple of chicken breast and a half a cup of brown rice and it seems to work nicely. Whatever you eat try to eat it at least an hour before you go workout, so that your digestive system isnt trying to process it during your lifting.

I tried the pro/carb with oats as my carb an hour before, but I seem to feel better eating a pro/fat, ex: choc whey and natty PB. It seems my lifts are better and I feel stronger. Maybe just me. It seems the carbs get me a little lathargic, even low GI carbs.
