    Fiber and weightloss

If you crank up your fiber would this help with the fat loss?

That question is almost impossible to answer. Like what if I increased protein? Or cut fat?

Everything acts holistically. One would need to know what else you are eating - and when - in order to answer that question.

I don't see any direct correlation with fiber HELPING fat loss.

    What bad_man said is key.

Fiber will help with satiety, which will help with hunger which will in turn help with weight loss. It will be of minimal value but it should help out, but will power, will be the ultimate factor.

fiber has been touted as a promising tool for weight loss, fiber is a non digestible food substance common to carbohydrates, our bodys lacks the enzymes to break down fiber and obtain the calories found within the food.

when fiber type carbs (vegetables) are mixed with a complex or simple carb the speed at which the glucose from the complex or simple carbs hits the blood stream is retarted even more than the complex carb would be, the glucose enters the blood at a slower pace,it acts like a time releasing agents to other carbs, the pancreas responds by outputting less insulin which in turn helps you stop storing glucose as body fat,

so when fiber type carbs are eaten without simple or complex carbs it may actually cost you calories because the body begins to work on the food to break it down, so it uses its own energy to fuel this so calories are burnt off plus fiber type carbs dont effect insulin levels, all these little advantages helps in fat loss
