    Protien Bars

What is the best protien Bar or are they any good at all? Sometimes after I work out I do not have time to eat a meal I grab a protien bar from the shop at the gym. But most of the protien Bars have a high amount of Fat 5-7G and lots of sugar in them. They have a nice mix of carbs and protien but a high percentage of sugar and fat? Are these bars any good?

Anyone have a bar they recomend?

you don't really want to mix fats and carbs. find a bar that has one or the other with protein... I would personally avoid a bar that is high is sugar, but that's me. I could look for you, but I don't know what kinds your gym sells so that could get pointless.

I cannot find any protien bars that are less than 5 grams of Fat. The taste of the bars is fine.

This what one of the bars looks like.

    Total Calories: 190
    Calories From Fat: 35
    Total Fat: 4 g
    Saturated Fat: 2 g
    Cholesterol: 5 mg
    Sodium: 180 mg
    Total Carbohydrates: 18 g
    Sugars: 0 g
    Sugar Alcohols: 17 g
    Protein: 20 g
    Vitamin A: 0%
    Vitamin C: 0%
    Calcium: 10%
    Iron: 6%

This is what they mostly look like.

Does anyone have a good suggestion for protien bars?

this might not be what you're after, but why not bring your shake to the gym after? this way you can control what you're eating after a workout.

i try and stay away from bars as much as possible...except in emergencies. during those times i go for a tri-o-plex bar...its made with whole oats, etc.
