are you really telling me this diet wont work?
Do you guys feel hungry when your cutting? I think I am eating too much I constantly have to force food in my mouth throughout the day. Are you REALLY telling me that I wont lose weight this way:
AM CARDIO ELLIPTICAL (45 mins)
50g oatmeal 50g protein powder
-2hrs later-
25g oatmeal 50g protein powder
WEIGHTS
PWO dextrose 25g protein powder 50g
-1hr later-
chicken & brown rice (25p 25c)
-2hrs later-
protein shake 25g protein 15g flax seed oil
SLEEP
adds up to:
125g carbs
175g protein
15g fat
roughly: 1400 calories give or take
my BMR is like 1800 calories and so I am creating a deficit of 1100 calories every day. Whenever I up the cals like the board recommends I feel like I just keep gaining muscle but not losing any fat. It's driving me crazy....is it possible that my BMR is lower than average?
Thanks everyone for your help its just nothings been working

Honestly bro I can eat that and I'm not hungry in the least I have to squeeze it all in. How can this diet not work? I don't understand...all these berstein & atkins etc diets are soooo low in calories and peoples lose tons of weight.

you shoud only have 1 or two shakes a day mainly after workout because of there fast absorbstion there designed to be broken down quick and easy and leave your stomach in about 30 mins, there fore you cannot live off protein pwder look at the cutting sticky man it dosnt get and easy'er than that

1400 calories? you gotta be starving yourself, that's not enough for one of the olsen twins
-

I'm going by the cutting sticky....I even shortened it a little bit...I can't figure out why but I am never hungry on this diet so far. It's driving me insane I thought you were supposed to be starving while cutting?

That amazes me. Only taking in 1400 calories you will definately lose some serious weight...my guess is a seriously large amount of it being in the form on lean muscle. Up the cals big time. You also wanna shoot for something like 50g protein/half a cup of dex post workout.
-
02-23-2006, 09:24 PM #10
2:1 ratio protein to dex

thats alot of powder. imo, one should never depend on powder. solid protein imo has great thermogenic effects. i am taking in 400 grams of protein, 300 through solid food, and im cutting just fine
-
02-23-2006, 10:34 PM #12
Bro eat some more solid foods. You also need more EFA's up in there.
-
02-23-2006, 10:34 PM #13
BTW I would start wih like a 4-500 cal deficit not 700
-
02-23-2006, 10:47 PM #14
after looking at that diet again, i gotta agree with the other bro, this looks like its not enough food for an olson twin

vestax, if you are just starting this cut you could eat at your maintanence and just do cardio 4-5 times a week and every week drop cals by like 50-100, when you drop it by 200 or so... up your cardio to another day. when you end up dropping it by another 200 or so... add another day of cardio. stop lowering when you're about 500 cals under your maintanence and do your cardio 7 days a week in the morning when you first wake up for 45 mins to an hour without eating anything before. keep your heart rate at 60-70% of your max heart rate. you get this number by taking 220-your age *.65 you should only lose about 1 lb of fat every week, and no sooner, or your body will be stressed and sending chemical signals halting fat loss, not to mention you will be buring muscle. it takes some serious time and dedication so eat and dont starve yourself. do it for 16 weeks and you will look much better and notice results. so i look forward to telling you this again in 2 weeks so i have copied and pasted everything i just typed

I am putting on muscle and don't want to be.
Why isn't anything working then?
This doesn't make sense.
I'm eating a little under 2000 cals a day and burning 1000. wtf am i doing wrong?

Vestax...
What is your cheating schedule?
Try increasing your EFAs. (This has been said)
Cardio may not be intense, read up on where your target heart rate should be. Try interval cardio, works better for me.

cheating...once a week and its smart cheating the most "cheating" I would do would be like a 6" sub without too much sauce or fat.
Cardio also they recommend 0.65 but I find it really difficult to actually stay in that range and usually am around 0.72ish
any slower and I barely sweat....
any other suggestions? I am about to just say fvck it and turn to meridia + 1200 cals a day and cardio twice daily...giving it another more week like this
I dont understand why I am GAINING weight though...

if a diet only took 2 weeks to produce results do you think people would be over weight? "this isn't a seminar it isn't a weekend retreat" -Tyler's words coming out of my mouth again.
you have a long road ahead of you. we're all here to support you. maybe start a log of your daily activities to keep motivated. i love to help out and see final results. i believe yours will be great as well...
keep us updated and GOOD LUCK!

more meats I find with my diet that the MRP shake usally only last for 2 maybe 2 1/2 hours before I start to get hungry. Try lipodrene it has ephedra and hoodia. that will be good boost and appetie supressant.
