    Diet Pops? (Sodium Question)

In my house we have milk, water, and pop. My mom buys diet pop for me because i complain when theres only regular pop because of the calories, sugar, etc.

I drink a lot of water but sometimes I like something with flavor...as does anybody. The nutritional facts for diet pop are:

    calories : 0
    fat : 0g
    Sodium : 25 mg
    Carbs : 0g
    Sugars : 0g
    Protein : 0g

I was wondering, since theres basically nothing in diet pop that seems bad when it comes to nutrition and my diet...what does sodium do to your body? And should I totally stay away from pop even if it IS diet?

    Thanks

    - Matt

i always go for water then soda pop what ever you want to call it diet or otherwise

sodium will increase the amonunt of water you retain in your body

it also is not good for the heart

if you are drinking your daily gallon of water or so, that sodium will be minimal and your body will flush it out.
