Drinking Red Bull before Working Out

I sometimes drink sugar-free Red Bull before doing cardio at the gym and it makes me feel really energized (like it's suppose to), but is it doing my body any harm?

Locally there have been some issues with the over accelerated heart rate and some people have been hospitalized. The explanation is Red Bull but that doesn't mean that those people don't have other heart issues. Use at own risk IMO.

its nothing to worry about. Just like drinking a big cup of coffe. If you are cutting be sure to consider the sugar unless you use sugar free.

Someone once told me the same thing, I ordered like 24 bottles. Threw them away after trying it twice. I am used to caffeine or an ECA stack but redline just message with me too much. I was so jittery that I could not concentrate on workouts. It also gave me chills even in the middle of summer.

Redline is too much for me also, seen some people react real bad to it. ECA for me, I like controlling my doses, not a company that does not tell you whats in its ingredients

I have to drink 4 red bulls to feel anything, and it's minor at that!

    2 Redlines are good.

Or, the HUGE BOO-KOO sugar free energy drinks are good.

I drink a sugar free red bull with my ECA stack. I lift early in the morning. Probably not recommended for others, but it works for me.

I was feelin tired today and had 2 extra cups of coffee (usually just two in the morning) to help with my lift. I was just warming up doing DB shoulder press and felt like my heart was gonna explode. My pulse must have been around 150 jsut doing a few sets. After a few sets it died down, but damn, i thought i was gonna have a hear attack

It takes too many redbulls for me. I'm with SC on this one, except just one redline has my heart jumpin out my chest.

holy hell 2 red lines! They say drink a half of ONE to assess tolerance on the bottle lol. I'll drink one before class sometimes and i get all shakey and sweaty.. reminds me of clen. I think I'd puke if i took 2 of them.

I don't get anything from sugar free Bull or Redline, never thought of drinking more than one tho. Stuff's too expensive for me to have to drink 2 or more for a good workout energy buzz. Speed Stack does absolutely nothing for me.

I agree with swole. Redbull doesn't do anything for me either. I need 2 or 3 Redlines to feel a little bit of a boost. Think its because of all the ECA i have done in the past. Sometiems I don't even feel anythng when on ephedra

two or three redlines?!? thats so much to have at once it says on the bottle not to exceed more than 2 in 24 hours thats crazy if your tolerance is that high..first time i tryed one i had half the bottle like it says and had a crazy amount of energy for like 3 hours

My tolerance must be insane because I can take a bronkaid tab and a 200mg caffeine pill, drink 3-4 nice size mugs of coffee, then hit cardio and I'm still quite normal. I never get all jittery and excited from too much caffeine, I think my tolerance for one reason or another is insanely through the roof. I've been like this forever though, so it's not like I've been using too long to feel the effects anymore.

Seriously, one sugar free Red Bull is a joke! For well over $2 as well, shit, it's like "where's the rest?????"

My favorite is an ECA stacked with GT/Yohimbe and the biggest iced coffee (creamer/splenda) they have at Starbucks.

Im not sure what the different times are that you have tried them ...but...

Ive noticed that caffeine and stuff is no cure for being completely drained...sometimes sleep is what you need...

red bull only has 80mg of caffeine which is pretty low IMO. average cup of coffee has around 115-175mg.

here's a comparison for some popular drinks: http://www.peakperformance.on.ca/cjo...inks_oct05.pdf
