    Macros In Sushi

Supposedly sushi doesn't have much fat at all but it has tremendous amounts of carbs. I had it the other day for my PWO along with my shake... Somebody correct me if I'm wrong if there is a lot of fat in this before I start to look like a butterball, this ish is the best food ever.

what do you mean by sushi? if it's true sushi (raw fish) then it shouldn't have any carbs in it. i think you might be referring to california rolls, and yes they do have carbs. please clear this up so you can get a further answer.

i guess i'm missing the rice here... i think it would depend on what fish is inside.. some places do like imitation crab meat, i'd personally avoid that. why not just take the rice off and eat it with the sea weed and meat. either that or you could use it as a pro/carb meal.

Sushi is one of my favorite types of foods.

I try to avoid the type of roll sushi that has any sauces, but veggies, rice, and fish, you can't get much healthier than that.

I will usually take in about 5 rolls at a time. Can't get enough of it. We have a great local sushi bar, so it's easy to find good sushi.

Sushi is something I know a ton about.

Sushi is a piece of fish on top of a small amount of rice wrapped by a piece of seawee.

Sashimi is just the raw fish

Rolls - r the stuff like california rolls....

    From good to worst

Sashimi is terrific for you. Fresh fish. Tremndous amounts of protein, low fat, no carbs

Sushi is ok but the piece of fish is usually smaller and they use white rice which is high glyc and no good for cutting. if bulking not terrible

Rolls made in America are bad on any diet. THey are high fat, high carb, low protein. They use little fish, Most have some sort of high carb high fat sauce. The reason spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls are so good is becasue they are using a spicy mayonaise. that orange sauce is a sugar based compund mixed with mayonaise. Its terrible for ya. Eel sauce also popular is basically maple syrup.

    just my $.02

This is not a cheat meal .. funny to see this right after my lunch at the local sushi place..hehe

Sushi is raw fish ( i guess some cooked fish like eel ) over sticky rice... that's where the carbs are coming from .. not bad, however keep the rice down to a minimum...

Sashimi or just plain raw fish.

Wasabi and soy sauce are not a prob either .. just do drink the soy sauce.
