    Depending on your aims, milk.

(If I'm feeling rebellious I throw in a spoonful of brown sugar cos I'm bonkers like that.)

what kinda oats are you eating? The instant or rolled oats taste crappy to me now, but i eat and love the steel cut oats, it's my main carb source. I love it!

1 cup of raw oats, 1/2 cup no fat plain yogurt, scoop of cokkies and cream protein powder, tsp of cinnamon....mix it up into a cookie dough-like batter and enjoy...very tasty.

I cook mine in water and add cinammon and splenda, sometimes half scoop of cookies n cream protein powder like TR 05. Try using Quacker Oats instead of generic brands. Their oats are different from quick oats (same profile though). You may like them better. I love oats no matter what, learn to love them.

I throw some milk and brown sugar in mine. I'll just make sure and adjust for any cals I add by using the sugar and milk.

I just add a little splenda. I used to add brown sugar but then I ended up going overboard..

those kinds of oats, have A TON of added sugar, but if you like it go with it. i would just say switch to regular oats, and try some splenda or some sugar substitute, or if you like teh peach taste, throw in half of a fresh peach!

rc1 if you are eating oats out of packets, then the processing has already raised the GI of the oats. This means that they will impact your blood sugar a lot more rapidly than unprecessed oats. This is not a good thing.
and Kitten, you should come over to the island, we have some wonderfull.....shopping

i just blend the oats up with something. a piece of fruit, milk, whey, sometimes even water....... so much less volume this way, opposed to eating them cooked anyways.

How do people mix their oats in a protein shake for a pre workout meal or a post workout meal? Do I just take the uncooked oats my prtoein powder and put it in a blender? Or do I cook it first?

I don't cook mine, and usually I don't even blend it. It's much easier to drink if it has been blended, though

    ok the solution is here:

I can only eat oat in diet coke. it tastes so good.

you can even add some flax seeds. even better. I am addicted to it.

oatmeal is one of the best tasting foods IMO only in Skim milk though, lol.

I can eat it plain, but I prefer to mix it in with some Splenda brown sugar.

The taste is off the hook!

Splenda makes a brown sugar product or Splenda with brown sugar?
