flaxseed oil is an essential fatty acid (hereafter called efa), when losing fat, you need to be intaking fat. thats right, to lose fat you need fat - but not bad fats like saturated or trans fat - thats bad shit. you need efas - flax oil, olive oil, omega 3-6-9, i suggest you check out this website for more info

actually, saturated fats are essential in some hormonal processes, ie the production of testosterone. The correleation between saturated fats and heart disease is corroding, it would appear that sat. fats have been getting an undeserved bum rap.

When choosing fats, your best options are monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. These fats, if used in place of others, can lower your risk of heart disease by reducing the total and low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol levels in your blood. Cholesterol, which your body produces for building cells, is the main substance in fatty deposits (plaques) that can develop in your arteries. Plaques that build up can reduce blood flow through your vessels, increasing your risk of heart disease and stroke.

One type of polyunsaturated fat, omega-3 fatty acids, may be especially beneficial to your heart. Omega-3s appear to decrease the risk of coronary artery disease. They may also protect against irregular heartbeats and help lower blood pressure levels

you can use flax oil in any of your Protein / Fat meals , i use it on my salads usually

a common misconception is that you need to lower fat intake on a cutting kind of diet, this couldn't be further from the truth good fats such as (flax oil, fish oil, olive oil, and poly & monounsaturated fats) should be staples of a good cutting diet,... not necessarily all of them, but they are some main ones to consider...

    links didn't work...but i reposted down a bit...

the first link has a nice discussion, the second link is great info...
