    Smoothie as a PWO?

Ok guys sorry for another carbohydrate related Post Workout question but here it goes. At my school they have a smoothie place called freshens and they offer low calorie smoothies. Today after my workout I took my 1 1/2 scoops if whey at 35 grams of protein and didnt have any carbs. So I went downstairs and got a 24 oz smoothie and here were the ingredients.

    Strawberry Oasis:
    120 - Cals
    59 - carbs
    8 - protein
    3 - sugar

Its made with their 10 mixed juice thats sugar free and flavored with the strawberry splenda. Besides ingredients would those specs be ok considering the product as a PWO supplement.

Save money and either make your own or buy a PWO drink. Smoothies are a rip.

In that case, yes it's not a bad PWO drink with Whey protein added. I'd eat 1hr later 50/50 protein/complex carbs. And then again 2hrs later.

    Carbs + Protein = 268 calories

Suggests to me that ~30g of the carbs is fibre or something equally useless for pwo. I would atleast investigate a bit more.
